Pixelstyled 3D Cube

Just an idea, but I like it. This was not possible in Flash7- while strokes couldn’t act as a mask. This one works with copyChannels , which should be much faster than a threshold solution. Maybe a 3d carracing game with this optic would be nice.

btw: I found a unwanted behavior in BitmapData.draw. Even if you pass false to the smooth parameter and the global _quality is set to high, the source will be drawn antialised.

    I’ve rendered just a small image and blow it three times to fit into the LCD grid. After that I copy one of the channels (white strokes) into the alpha of the LCD ‘on’-Pattern. Thats it.
